Gun (A) is Izhevsk made in 1915. Import marked on the barrel. The Imperial eagle on the hexagonal receiver has been defaced as well as above the chamber. The bolt number has been arsenal force matched. The floorplate is not matching, nor is the buttplate. Good working order. Retains 40% arsenal finish with some minor pitting on the receiver and exterior of the barrel. Stock is solid with numerous dings and handling marks. Bore has strong rifling. Leather sling. Later production bayonet. Cleaning rod appears to be of more current production. Gun (B) is a Sestroryetsk model 1891 dated 1916. Import marked on the right side of the barrel. Imperial Russian eagle from the top of the hexagonal receiver has been defaced and is weak above the arsenal marking. Bolt number is not matching, the rest of the numbers are, although arsenal force matched. Retains 70% arsenal finish. Wood stock is very good with dings and handling marks. Leather sling. Cleaning rod appears to be of more current production. Bore is dirty with strong rifling. This gun has an early style bayonet with locking ring.
