This gun is a Hungarian made copy of the 91/30 Mosin Nagant. Produced in 1953. Proper "02" marking on top of receiver, stock, scope mount base, and small parts. Gun has matching numbers. These were not imported at any time, so you will not find import marks on these guns. Unfortunately this gun does not have capture papers, however every Hungarian Mosin Nagant sniper rifle inspected by this cataloger have been Vietnam bring backs. This gun is equipped with an original Russian Izhevsk arsenal mount and Russian scope. These items have clearly been together for a very long time due to matching wear and finish. Some minor pitting along wood line of gun and on the bottom of the scope. Retains 80% original finish overall. Markings are clear. Stock is very good with dings and handling marks. Bore is fine with sharp rifling. Period canvas sling and original cleaning rod. This gun is accompanied by a pine Miltech transit chest marked for an SVT-40. Crate is good for storage and or transportation. This gun has NOT been refurbished by Miltech. CORRECTION: From the collection of Kent V. Bissel.
