This rifle is an M2 upgrade of an original M1, which includes the new M2 bolt and NS nickel steel bolt handle, altered for the short-throw action. Barrel date is October 1931. Has a blued finish, Redfield target globe front sight, factory tapped on barrel and bridge for scope, Lyman 48 receiver sight, signal barrel band with sling swivel, pistol grip walnut stock with sling swivel and checkered steel buttplate. Has original magazine. No cartouche on stock. Barrel and action retain approximately 98% of the original pre-war blue finish. Stocks are excellent to near mint. Floorplate has some flaking.
