Production of the now famous Model 12 started with 20 gauge guns that had 25" barrels. The 12 and 16 gauge were not introduced until 1914. At that time the 25" barrel was phased out for the 20 gauge. This lovely condition 1913 production gun has 25" nickel-steel barrel choked full. All other features are standard production with uncheckered semi-pistol grip buttstock measuring 13-1/2" over checkered Winchester buttplate and 13-ring "corncob" forend. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrel assembly with approximately 95% original blue, with a few light scratches. Receiver about the same, with high edge wear thinning on bottom. Stocks have nearly all of their original finish with some light marks and some dark spots at right grip. Bore is excellent. Action is smooth. Weight: 6 lbs. 2 oz. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
