Produced during the first year for the etched panel, this nickel plated revolver appears to be in brand-new, off-the-shelf condition with perfect etched panel and sporting a pair of aged ivory grips. You will find matching serial number on frame, cylinder, trigger guard, backstrap and barrel. The gun looks like it has never been fired. Etch panel is perfect. Screw heads are sharp. This is one of the finest restoration jobs of a revolver that is possible and the product of only the best talent. Cylinder shows no burn. Strong, clean bore. Looks at nice as it did in 1878 when original shipped. The 1976 dated factory letter states that this serial number left the factory in .44 caliber, nickel finish with ivory stocks and shipped to John Worssmen on December 3rd, 1878 in a shipment of ten guns. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
