A mere 2,000 of these revolvers were manufactured mid-war at the Hoards Armory in Watertown, New York. They feature the high polish factory royal blue finish, non-fluted cylinder, case hardened hammer and one piece walnut grips. Although there were no known US contracts for this weapon it is still considered a secondary US Martial handgun. These revolvers were beautifully made and finished with the quality of bluing equal to that, if not finer, than their Colt contemporaries. This revolver shows scattered storage marks with some small areas of patina; but still retains a solid 85% or better of this brilliant finish with excellent grips and fading colors on hammer. The action is as tight as new. Near mint bore. Most of the wear on this revolver seems to be simple aging and flaking, the revolver itself showing little use. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
