Pressed bisque socket head incised "Depose E 9 J" with deep brown paperweight eyes, well painted lashes and thick multi stroke eyebrows, applies ears with pierced ear lobes, closed mouth with white space between the lips, with peaches and cream rosy complexion. The head is mounted to the original fully jointed French wood and composition body, stamped on the back torso in blue "Jumeau Medaille D'or Paris". This Attractive doll wears an antique blond mohair wig with bangs over a hard antique french composite pate, a factory gauze and cotton pleated chemise with lace trim, antique underwear, as well as an over dress of similar construction to the original under chemise. Also original are the knit socks and the brown leather shoes with rosettes, shoes are stamped "9 E. Jumeau Paris" on the sole. Doll has one tiny spot above right eyebrow where color is not perfectly fired in; body very nice, but probable light spots of old and well matched over paint with possibly the small finger of the right hand replaced.
