J & E Stevens Co., designed by James H. Bowen, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Patented 1/6/1877. Blue version. Place the coin in proper position on the barrel of the rifle, when by pressing the right foot it is thrown into the opening which is the bulls-eye of the target. As the coin enters, it strikes a gong bell and the rifle is so arranged that a paper cap maybe fired at the same time.
