This beautiful, big bore double action Tranter handgun features full octagon barrel stamped with dealer "J&W TOLLEY BIRMINGHAM", blued frame, case colored cylinder, varnished checkered walnut one piece grips and metal buttplate. Barrel retains approximately 85% original high polish blue, as does frame with some thinning and freckling on top strap and side. Case colored non-fluted cylinder has case color patterns throughout but no bright colors. Left side of frame is stamped "TRANTERS PATENT". Nice case colors on ejector. Wood is near mint. Gun has areas of fine line engraving. Indexes and locks up correctly. Fine, clean bore. Housed in an English walnut case for the J&W Tolley dealer label. Includes 30 rounds of .450 ammunition, wood handled turn screw, cleaning rod and oil bottle. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
