Manufactured late 1860's with approximately 1,000 made at the James Warner plant in Springfield, Massachusetts. This handgun was made as an original breech loading metallic cartridge revolver. Barrel and cylinder retain at least 90% of the brilliant factory high polish blue. Case colored ramrod. Blue on the frame has flaked to a soft grey patina. Retains the majority of the blue on the top cylinder notch catch. Walnut grips are excellent. Indexes and locks correctly. Visible rifling but bore shows black powder corrosion. Definitely one of the better examples of this rare gun. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
