Manufactured for the German military by Mauser. This is a 42 chamber date code byf. Features include; round barrel with dovetailed inverted V front sight, V notch rear sight on rear link, thumb safety marked "GESICHERT" in the upper position, extractor marked "GELADN", center toggle link marked "byf", correct "(eagle) 135" Waffenamts on right side of receiver. Gun retains approximately 98% of the original factory applied blue. Molded black plastic checkered grips. Two FXO magazines with black plastic bottoms. This is one of the famed Black Widow Lugers. Good bore with sharp lands and grooves. Comes in a nice dkk 42 black holster with an eagle 655 loading tool. A hard to find world war two full rigged gun. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
