About 5,800 of these revolvers were manufactured 1863 to 1865. Made in Willowvale, New York they were all made for U.S. contract and bear inspector marks and stamps throughout. Features full octagon barrel, six shot, dingle action, non-fluted cylinder, blued finish, walnut grips, all original nipples. Stamped "ROGERS & SPENCER UTICA NY" on top of frame. All matching numbers on frame, cylinder, trigger guard, barrel and loading lever. No visible cartouche on walnut stocks. Inspector mark "B" can be found on barrel, loading lever, frame, hammer. Barrel has traces of blue, balance soft brown patina. Colors have faded out. 75% bright blue on frame mixing patina. Cylinder is soft patina. Hammer has patterned out. Indexes like new. Strong, clean bore. This revolver, along with previous revolver is a consecutive serial numbered pair on almost identical condition.
