Glisenti came up with the Model 1906 but failed to satisfy the Italian Army, so the pistol was redesigned to take the 9mm German Parabellum loaded to a lower velocity and this became the Model 1909, which was fully adopted by the Italian Army in 1910, thus becoming the Model 1910. The Glisenti remained in production until the 1920's and was the main handgun used by the Italian Army during the first World War. This is a particularly nice example retaining 95% blue finish with smooth walnut grips. All matching numbers. Fine bore and action. Fairly hard to find example.
