The short barrel Cloverleaf is the most desirable variation. Revolver is in very fine condition for one of these rare Colts. Barrel retains considerable original blue finish, patinating to brown overall. Cylinder retains considerable original finish turning brown. Brass frame has beautiful age patina of the type found on the most desirable Henry rifles. Varnished walnut grips have most of their varnish with some marks and dents on both sides. Hammer has original blue on spine and frame screws retain much of their original blue on heads. A very rare and desirable early Colt cartridge revolver.
