Third quarter 19th century. The large kidney shaped tray with gilt decoration and mother of pearl inlays around the border, fitted to a custom bench made stand with simulated bamboo legs and cross stretcher. With wear to surface of the tray and chips along the edge, dry crusty finish with craquelure. Base is in fine condition. PROVENANCE: Contents of a lifetime collection "Brook Crossing", South Pomfret, VT.
