This pistol as used by the US Navy prior to World War I and adopted by the US Army for World War I. Contract was awarded to Remington, which produced 20,460 of this model by December 1918. These guns were not used in Europe as the AEF adopted the French Signal System. These pistols remained in Army inventory until World War II. Pistol has a spur trigger, thumb-cocked hammer, single action and push button used to open barrel. This gun uses the single light, Very, Mk II cartridge. CONDITION: Sharp barrel legends. 90% matte blue finish on barrel. Brass frame with traces of original black enamel. Very good walnut grips. Operates correctly. Very good bore.
