BROWNING OLYMPIAN GRADE ENGRAVED BY ANGELO BEE, LOUIS ACAMPO, AND A. MARECHAL WITH SCOPE AND CASE. BROWNING OLYMPIAN 60329L70 30-06 MODERN Cal. 30-06. 22" Medium weight tapered bbl has Browning Arms Co on left, and with caliber, SN, and “MADE IN BELGIUM” on right. SN also appears on right side of rear bridge. There are 2-1/4" triangles of acanthus scroll engraving at breech end. Coin finished action is engraved with more open shaded scroll, and has big game animals on receiver ring; bugling elk on left, and running pronghorn on right, both signed "AB" under wood. Bottom metal with hinged floorplate continues with the scrolled acanthus theme surrounding quartering portrait of mule deer peering through bracken and vines, with birch tree in background. A face-on grizzly bear is on trigger guard bow. Mule deer scene is signed "A Marechal" and bear scene has initials "LA" (Louis Acampo). Exceptional feather crotch grain claro walnut stock measures 13-3/4" over Browning composition buttplate. Stock features rosewood forend tip with white line, matching flared grip cap has inset gold diamond on bottom. Checkering at grip and forend is flanked by relief carved acanthus scroll with broad stippled borders. Weight with scope: 8 lbs. 14 oz. LOP: 13-3/4". 2-1/2 - 8 X Browning wide field scope with duplex reticle is in Redfield type rings and single piece mount. Tan vinyl Browning case is lined in off white faux fur, and contains a key. PROVENANCE: Rod Fuller Estate Collection. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine. Appears unfired since proof, with only a few light handling marks on stock, checkering and carving undarkened.
