WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 OCTAGON BARREL FULL MAGAZINE SPORTING RIFLE WITH CRESCENT BUTTWINCHESTER862911140-82 WCFCal. 40-82 WCF. 26" oct bbl. Full magazine. High blade front sight. Standard rear sight. Blue and case colored finish. Straight grained American walnut stocks with crescent butt. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and magazine tube show an even plum-brown patina with high point and muzzle wear. Sights are very good. Front sight blade is an after market replacement. Bore is frosty with some erosion and visible rifling. Receiver is an even gray-brown patina overall with traces of case color silvered out on both sides. Bolt retains 20% blue. Hammer and lever are brown patina with some trace of case color in protected areas. Stocks are very good and full-sized with some minor scratching and denting overall. Buttplate is an even brown patina with some erosion on toe. Forend cap is an even brown patina. A nice 86 Winchester oct bbl rifle in a great caliber. 49971-30 TEP (2,000-3,000)
