WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 OCTAGON BARREL FULL MAGAZINE SPORTING RIFLE WITH SPECIAL ORDER SIGHTS.WINCHESTER8611783338-56 WCFCal. 38-56 WCF. 26" oct bbl. Full magazine. Straight grained American walnut stocks with crescent butt. Front sight is a Marble no. 2 ring sight. Rear sight is a Lyman folding leaf combination sight. Tang sight is adjustable for elevation. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and magazine tube retain 80% dull finish with high point wear with some scratches and dents. Bore is frosty with strong rifling. Sights are very good. Front sight has a small dent. Receiver has been cleaned and shows evidence of touch up to finish. Hammer and lever are gray-brown patina with traces of case color in protected areas. Stocks are very good and full-sized with some slight marring and scratching commensurate with the age of the rifle. A very good model 86 rifle with special order sights. 49971-26 TEP (2,000-3,000)
