WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 OCTAGON BARREL 3/4 MAGAZINE SPORTING RIFLE WITH SHOTGUN BUTT AND MARBLE TANG SIGHT.WINCHESTER189271711838 WCFMODERN; C&RCal. 38 WCF. 24" bbl. 3/4 length magazine. Blue finish. Marble tang sight. Rear bbl sight mortise has been filled. Front sight is a Marble no. 2 with a white bead. Rear sight is a Marble tang sight. Straight grained American walnut stocks with Winchester hard rubber shotgun buttplate. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl retains 50% dull blue finish with high point and muzzle wear. Some abrasion at breech end where rear sight was removed. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Front sight is very good. Magazine retains 80% blue with bright end cap. Receiver is a silver-gray patina overall with some abrasions on left side. Hammer and lever area silver-gray patina with some traces of blue in protected areas. Tang sight is very good. Stocks are very good and full-sized with some dents and scratches overall. Buttplate is very good with a clear logo, sharp checkering and a few small dents. Forend cap is gray-brown patina.
