LATE COLT MODEL 1851 LONDON NAVY REVOLVER. COLT 1851 NAVY 79462 36 CAL Cal. 36. Usual configuration with 7-1/2" oct bbl, Hartford address, blade front sight, 4-screw frame cut for shoulder stock, has very scarce lanyard loop installed just above trigger guard. 6-shot cylinder, left side of bbl with London provisional proofs, left side of frame marked "Colts Patent", cylinder also with provisional proofs. 1-pc walnut grips originally varnished. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. "Bill" Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: Fair. All metal surfaces with brown patina, scattered pinprick pitting, and a couple of light battering marks. Front sight has been worn down. No cylinder scene present. Grips are good with added finish and minor repairs at toe. Mechanics are good, bore is fair. 49973-135 JSL79 (1,500-3,500)
