RARE COLT RICHARDS CONVERSION COLT MODEL 1860 ARMY REVOLVER. COLT 1860 ARMY 4593 44 CAL IVORY Cal. 44 RF. This fine original, authentic and complete example of Colt Army revolver made about 1875 in standard configuration. Has fine pair of smooth ivory grips with great patina. Gun retains much of original bright factory blue finish with crisp fine markings. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. "Bill" Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: Very good to fine overall. Bbl retains about 50% of original bright blue with balance blue/plum. Frame retains much muted case color with balance overall silver/gray. Cylinder retains strong traces of blue finish in protected areas with virtually all of rolled Naval battle scene. Backstrap and trigger guard retain traces of silver plating, there is added lanyard post to bottom of buttstrap and SN has been crudely re-stamped rear of post. "Certifiable antique elephant ivory" grips are well fit and appear original to this gun. Mechanically gun functions well with bright crisp bore. 49973-148 JS (3,000-5,000)
