COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY BISLEY MODEL REVOLVERCOLTSAA BISLEY32753932 WCFMODERN; C&RCal. 32 WCF. 7 1/2" bbl. Full nickel finish with checkered hard rubber grips with Colt medallions. Serial numbers match on frame, trigger guard, backstrap, and grips. Included with this revolver is a Colt factory letter confirming the caliber, bbl length, and finish and showing shipment to Richards & Conover Hdw. Kansas City. MO on October 3, 1913 in a one-gun shipment. Letter also states that this was one of the last Bisley models that were assembled. There is also correspondence between the late consignor between he and Colt concerning the late production of this revolver. There is also correspondence between the consignor and Jackson Arms in Dallas, Texas. PROVENANCE: The Dr. Robert G. Cox Estate Collection. CONDITION: Good to very Good. Bbl retains 10-20% nickel finish in protected areas with balance a silver-gray patina. Front sight is slightly battered. Bbl markings are sharp. Bore is dark with traces of rifling. Ejector rod housing retains 10% blue in protected areas with balance turning a silver-gray patina. Frame retains 50-60% nickel finish that is turning dull with sharp patent marks. Hammer is a gray-brown patina. Trigger shows traces of fire blue. Frame screws are somewhat battered. Trigger guard and backstrap retain 50-60% dull nickel finish with most of wear on forestrap. Cylinder retains 20% nickel with a slight drag mark and erosion at forward end. chambers are dark. Grips are very good with no cracks or chips, good checkering but worn slightly smooth with strong medallions. Action is slightly out of time.
