RARE TEN SHOT CIVIL WAR WALCH PERCUSSION REVOLVER. WALCH FIREARMS CO TEN SHOT 1785 31 CAL Cal. 31. This gun is quite the curiosity with 10 nipples and 2 hammers. It was designed for superposed loads in each chamber with the right hammer discharging front load and left hammer discharging 2nd load. Gun appears all matching, original and complete. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. "Bill" Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: Very good overall. Metal is overall gray patina with scattered small blemishes and light pitting. Bbl is well marked in 2 lines "WALCH FIRE-ARMS CO. NEW-YORK / PAT''D FEB 8 1859". 2-pc grips have matching SN to gun retaining much of their original varnish with scattered blemishes and moderate edge wear, left grip has longitudinal crack with glued repair.
