SCARCE PARKER VH 20 GAUGE.PARKERVH17250220 GAMODERN; C&RCal. 20 ga. 26" Vulcan steel bbl, 2-5/8" chambers, improved cyl/cyl chokes, full length matted rib, marked "Parker Brothers, Makers, Meriden, Conn, Vulcan Steel". Steel front bead, "0" frame, dbl triggers, extractors, auto safety. Scarce ball grip stock, with 14" LOP over older leather faced red pad. Splinter forearm with Deeley release, checkered in standard 2-point "V" grade pattern, frame with zig zag border engraving and marked "Parker Bros" on both sides. WEIGHT: 6lbs. 1oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine as refurbished. Bbls retain 95-98% of their refinished rust blue with a freckle or two of exterior pitting not struck out during refinishing and minor dent or 2 in left tube. Frame retains virtually all of its properly restored bone and charcoal case hardening as does top lever and forearm iron. Trigger guard and safety button retain most of their restored blued finish. Buttstock with repair at wrist and forearm retain nearly all of their restored finish with some light handling marks. Bores are excellent. Mechanics are crisp, though top lever turn spring is a touch weak. A dandy little bird gun. 50017-14 JSL1 (3,000-5,000)
