SCARCE EARLY WINCHESTER MODEL 42.WinchesterM425029.410MODERN; C&RCal. 410 ga. 25-1/2" bbl. Marked 3" chamber. Choke marked MOD. No ribs, steel front bead. Full pistol grip stock, checkered in double diamond pattern with 13-7/8 LOP over Winchester Repeating Arms Co. monogram hard rubber buttplate. Forearm nicely checkered with two diamonds on sides. Receiver un-engraved and unmarked. WEIGHT: 6lbs. 1oz. CONDITION: Very good as found. Bbl retains 75-80% toned blue finish. Buttstock and forearm are near excellent and retain most of their original finish with handling marks and light scratches throughout. Checkering has slightly thinned on buttstock. Receiver retains 75-80% toned orig blue. Slide retains approx 60-70% orig blue. Buttplate is very good, though a tad short on top and bottom. Bore is very good.
