HANDEL BLACK EXOTIC BIRD TABLE LAMP.Handel table lamp has domed shade with brightly colored exotic birds in flight in shades of red, orange, blue and yellow flying among exotic vegetation and flowers. All against a black background. Exterior is finished in chipped ice. Signed interior rim "Handel 7026" artist signature "PAL". Shade rests on original Handel base with round marble platform foot supporting three legged stem with acanthus leaf feet on each leg rising to support three socket cluster each with acorn pulls as well as pierced heat cap. All metal with dark brown patina. Unsigned. SIZE: Shade is 17-3/4" dia. Lamp is 23" t. PROVENANCE: From the Unreserved Collection of Dr. & Mrs. Brian Bojesen. CONDITION: Shade is very good to excellent. Base is very good with some wear to patina. Re-wired with contemporary plastic cord. 50361-8 DAB (6,000-8,000)
