EXQUISITE MATCHED PAIR GERMAN SIDEPLATED BOXLOCK EJECTOR GAME GUNS. GERMAN-UNKOWN MAKER SIDEPLATE BOXLOCK 39/46 16ga MODERN; C&R Cal. 16 ga. 2-3/4" Cham. 29-1/2" chopper lump bbls. Gun 1: Choked IC/Mod. Gun 2: Choked Mod/Full. Case colored sideplated boxlock actions feature side clips, full coverage bouquet and scroll engraving across the entire receiver surface. Bbl bosses with geometric patterns on stippled background. Guns numbered "1" and "2" on top lever and bbl rib. Double trigger, auto ejectors. Both guns stocked in full figured European walnut, splinter forends, straight grip stock carved drop points, skeleton buttplates. Sling swivel provisions plugged. Multi point checkering with mullered borders. 14-1/2" LOP. 6 lbs. 8 oz. PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms. CONDITION: Very fine as partially restored. Bbls retain most of their fine original finish with some thinning at carry points and scattered light handling marks. Actions retain most of their original case colors, sharp engraving. Trigger bows properly restored. Stocks are sound and professionally refinished, checkering re-cut. Skeleton buttplates refreshed.
