VERY GOOD MODEL 1900/06 BULGARIAN CONTRACT LUGER. DWM LUGER 1900/06 BULGARIAN 1261 9MM MODERN; C&R; IMPORT Cal. 9mm. A very uncommon contract of 1900/06. 4" bbl with old style toggle lock with Bulgarian crest over chamber and "DWM" in script on toggle. Early long frame configuration with "OTbHb" marked safety position. 2-pc checkered walnut grips. This is an extremely scarce and uncommon example as most of these guns were repeatedly rebuilt; thus, explaining the mixed numbers which are common in Bulgarian contract arms. PROVENANCE: The Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin Collection, Germany. CONDITION: Good overall. A fair amount of period blue remains with good mechanics but a fairly weak bore. Mixed numbered parts likely a result of rebuild by Bulgaria. A very uncommon gun to acquire as the original contract was only 1000 guns. 49829-36 TDW (2,000-3,000)
