FINNISH LAHTI 20MM SEMIAUTOMATIC ANTI-TANK RIFLE (DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE). LAHTI ANTI-TANK GUN 1609 20MM MODERN; NFA; C&R Cal. 20mm. Matching numbered excellent and complete specimen of the well-known anti-tank rifle in its orig fitted wooden carrying chest. Immediately recognizable when employed with its skis, this is a very impressive looking anti-tank system whose design dates back to the 1930's. In addition to the gun itself which includes its large muzzle break are eight 10-round magazines complete in 4 metal storage chests, a complete armorer's kit, a cleaning kit, and six orig rounds of ammunition wrapped up in 1965 newspaper. One of the distinctive features of this anti-tank gun is its wooden barrel cooling jacket forward of the front sight. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish extremely fine with some very light surface corrosion to orig finish which should clean up. The wooden cooling jacket is near excellent. Armorers kit and tools in extremely fine condition. Bore is coated in grease. Wood lined mag cans in excellent condition as are the mags. Action moves smoothly when operated by hand. This weapon appears fully functional. This is a National Firearms Act item and requires BATF approval prior to transfer. This weapon is fully transferable on an ATF form 3 or form 4 under the classification Destructive Device (DD). This specimen has been in storage with its previous owner for decades. Ammunition is somewhat tarnished from storage but otherwise are an impressive reminder of the fire power capability of this weapon. Any person considering shooting one of these should contact someone well versed and trained in its use as they should when shooting any firearm. A very impressive historical weapon from the second World War for which ammunition can be found as it was imported in significant quantities and sold in the early 1960's. 50928-1 JWK79 (5,000-10,000)
