PRIME CONDITION SMITH & WESSON STRAIGHTLINE TARGET PISTOL WITH CASE AND ACCESSORIES.SMITH & WESSONSTRAIGHTLINE TARGET11222LRMODERN; C&RCal. 22. 10" bbl. Deep pre-war blue finish overall with highly figured walnut grips with medallions. Patridge front sight with adjustable ourdoorsman pattern adjustable rear sight. One of fewer than 2000 guns made between 1925 and 1936. Housed in the appropriate Smith & Wesson embossed blue steel fitted casing. Complete with proper accessories of cleaning rod, jag and blue steel mechanical turnscrew manufactured by the Welsh Manufacturing Co. Providence, Rhode Island. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of Jim Baldwin. CONDITION: In an exceptional state of preservation showing virtually no use. Only the slightest amount of edge wear from residing in its casing with finish loss only at the extreme edges of muzzle, side of bbl rib and high point of rear adjustable sight. Accessories are equally as fine with minor finish loss on end of cleaning rod from storage. Blue steel casing is immensely better than the average with slight wear from storage and slight blue loss on exterior mostly at corners and top of Smith & Wesson logo. 50975-11 TDW (1,750-2,500)
