EXCELLENT COLT 1911 U.S. PROPERTY MANUFACTURED 1918.COLT191130490545ACPMODERN; C&RCal. 45 ACP. With brushed blue finish overall. Correct Colt 2-line patent date and address with rampant Colt in center on left side of slide. Right side of slide marked "Model of 1911 U.S. Army". Small Springfield Armory acceptance mark on left side of frame behind trigger. Marked "United States Property" on left side of frame. Proper walnut 2-pc checkered grips with 15-line checkering. Correct components consisting of trigger, safety, hammer, grip safety and mainspring housing. Properly inspected bbl with correct two-tone magazine. PROVENANCE: Gerard Ruth Collection, ex Alex Chauffe SR. CONDITION: Fine overall, with much factory brush blue finish remaining. Typical finish loss on front of slide from holster wear and on high points of slide flats. Finish on top of slide is thinning with balance turning plum. Frontstrap is a soft grey finish as is mainspring housing. Numerous small scratches below slide stop and very slight corrosion between grip safety and right grip panel.
