Attractive, battle used, British Lend-Lease return, 1918A2 BAR as imported by "Inter-American". Manufactured by "N.E. SMALL ARMS CORP." with cross cannon proofs on top of receiver as well as flaming bomb just forward of rear sight, British nitro proofs on bbl. Flaming bomb proof also on bbl with date 6-44. Attractive, brown bakelite buttstock with wooden forend and carrying handle. Late style adjustable gas port nut. This weapon includes one 20 round Seymour mag. Firing mechanism moves smoothly when operated by hand, this weapon appears fully functional. This is a National Firearms Act item and requires BATF approval prior to transfer. This weapon is transferable only to current FFL and SOT license holders on an ATF form 3 as a pre-86 dealer sample. This weapon in this status maybe retained by the FFL/SOT license holder privately when they relinquish their license, subject to adherence to state and local laws and approval by the BATF. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is very good to fine with appeal as a battle worn weapon which transcends exterior finish percentage. Receiver turning a pleasing gray patina thinning to bare metal particularly at the high points with some gouges and scrapes. Bbl also thinning to a very pleasing gray patina. There are additional numbers stamped on the inside of the receiver visible through the open ejection port. Buttstock, wooden forearm and carrying handle have nicks and dings. Bore is very good. The Browning Automatic rifle is one of the most popular machine guns one can take to the range, this specimen has a great deal to recommend it.
