SOUGHT AFTER BERETTA MODEL 38A MACHINE GUN (CURIO & RELIC).BERETTA38A6190B9MMMODERN; NFA; C&RCal. 9mm. 14-3/8" bbl with compensator. The Beretta 38A was one of the most effective machine guns of WWII and actually preferred by many Germans over the MP40. It is highly accurate and a select fire weapon, depending on which trigger is pulled. This specimen retains its four slot compensator and includes one orig 40 round mag. Marked on top of the receiver with manufacturers markings & SN. Stock matches gun SN. Firing mechanism moves smoothly when operated by hand, this weapon appears fully functional. This is a National Firearms Act item and requires BATF approval prior to transfer. This weapon is fully transferable on an ATF form 3 or form 4 as Curio & Relic eligible. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish good to very good with about 80% of what is a partial re-finish remaining on metal parts otherwise starting to turn a brown patina, particularly at the high edges. Buttstock is in good condition overall, with significant handling marks, cracked on both sides just to the rear of trigger housing repaired with slotted wood screws on both sides. Stock cartouche and SN still visible on left side. Screws also evidence of being removed and one keepers screw missing at rear of the trigger guard. Rear trigger is in the white and appears to be replacement. Bolt is in good serviceable condition. Bore is fair to good with some shine remaining. Flash hider has taken a couple of dings at the muzzle end. There is no doubt this will make a good shooter as an example of this model. 50726-6 JWK53 (7,500-11,000)
