SCARCE WINCHESTER MODEL 42 DIAMOND DELUXE SHOTGUN. WINCHESTER MODEL 42 DIAMOND DLX 143769 410 MODERN; C&R Cal. 410. 3" chambers with 28" bbl. Choke marked "full". This beautiful solid rib Model 42 Diamond Deluxe appears factory orig in all respects. Buttstock & forearm are flame grained American walnut. Checkered with diamonds at grip and at forearm with steel grip cap and superb "Winchester Repeating Arms Co." checkered buttplate. Serial number noted in proper places as this gun appears excellent and orig. Weight: 6 lbs. 8oz. LOP: 13-5/8". PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine. Bbl and receiver retain nearly all of their bright orig blued finish. Beautiful polish marks can be seen on carrier and bolt. Slide retains approximately 90% orig blued finish with minor toning.
