VERY RARE SCAGEL LARGE HUNTER SHEATH KNIFE.Beautiful Scagel Hunter with 7-3/4" x 1" flat ground blade marked with Mr. Scagel's trademark Kriss on the left side. Hand guard is brass, elliptical shaped, flat on the bottom and scalloped on the top edge. Handle is stacked leather with red & brass spacers. Pommel is rough stag with a short side tine. Accompanied by its orig dark brown leather hand stitched sheath with thumb strap that has a brass button. Sheath has reinforcing rivets at the top edges and at the toe. This is a very rare and desirable Scagel Hunter. SIZE: CONDITION: Very fine plus, shows very little evidence of use, retaining traces or orig polish with some slight surface etching on the left side. Handle & pommel are extremely fine. Sheath is also extremely fine showing light wear. 51473-5 JRL (8,500-12,000)
