COLT 1911-TYPE SERIES 70 COMBAT COMMANDER PISTOL IN 38 SUPER FITTED CASE. COLT 1911 70BS72715 38SUPER MODERN Cal. .38 SUPER. 4-1/4" bbl with fitted presentation case (no key present). Right slide marked "COLT'S COMBAT COMMANDER". Left slide marked "COMBAT COMMANDER COLT .38 SUPER AUTOMATIC" and Rampant Colt. Right receiver marked "COLT'S PT.F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN U.S.A." over SN. Upper trigger guard bow right marked "F". Left upper trigger guard bow marked "P". Left lower trigger guard bow marked "VP". Stocks have gold Colt emblems with prancing pony. Front sight is back tapered, serrated wide type. Rear sight is square notch. Hammer is short, rounded and serrated with hole. Thumb safety, slide lock and trigger are serrated. Grip safety is medium length. Mainspring housing is arched and serrated with no lanyard loop. Mag marked "COLT SUPER .38 AUTO" on floorplate. Stocks are full checkered walnut with gold Colt emblems. Bbl marked "COLT SUPER 38 AUTO", visible through ejection port. Pistol is accompanied by a hinged wooden presentation box with Colt Custom Shop emblem on top. Inside lid shows placard "COLT 38 SUPER COMMANDER" and Rampant Colt. Box is lined in red velvet. CONDITION: Left side shows small takedown scratch. Slide shows only a few micro-scratches and micro-dings and just the slightest touch of wear on the high points. Receiver shows takedown scratch. Only a few high point touches of wear. Receiver shows 99% orig blue. Slide shows -99% orig blue. Mag shows minor wear and scratches on sides and floorplate. Left stock screws are painted (gray) and show no abuse. Right stock screws are blued and show no abuse. Mag catch assembly is pristine. Bore is as new. Lock mechanism on box may have been replaced, otherwise near new condition. 51176-15 KXK (2,000-3,500)
