PRIME COLT 38AMU AUTOMATIC MATCH PISTOL. COLT 38AMU 156813R 38ACP MODERN; C&R Cal. 38 ACP. 5" 38AMU marked bbl with Elliason Manufacturing marked, Bomar pattern rear target sight and wide Patridge front target sight. Commercial high polish blue overall with checkered walnut 2-pc grips, long serrated target trigger and polished target hammer with Colt commercial serrated target mainspring housing. Magazine marked "Colt 38AMU". PROVENANCE: Gerard Ruth Collection, ex Alex Chauffe SR. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine overall condition, with very light handling marks with very minor wear on front of slide from operation and typical light burnishing on top of chamber from having been fired. Frame finish is excellent with several very minor amounts of finish loss on extreme high points and corners of trigger guard and mainspring housing. Three extremely small spots of finish loss are evident on the Colt address on left side of slide. More likely from being in a shooting box.
