MODEL 1819 SIMEON NORTH FLINTLOCK PISTOL DATED 1822.SIMEON NORTHU.S. 1819 PISTOLNSN54Cal. 54. x 10. Rnd bbl with no discernible markings. Lock plate marked under brass pan "S. NORTH" in arc, over "US" and spread-winged eagle, over "MIDLTN CONN." dated 1822 behind the cock. Sideplate, buttcap, bbl tang, trigger guard, bbl band and swivel ramrod appear all orig to this gun and match well. Walnut stock marked opposite lock is inspector cartouche "LS" (Luther Sage). CONDITION: Very good overall. Metal was cleaned and is white/gray overall with well discerned markings as can be seen in photos. Walnut stock is refinished with two glued crack repairs showing typical nicks, dings, and scratches and good discernible inspector marks as can be seen in photos. Mechanically gun functions well including safety with a smooth clean bore. 51127-6 JS (1,500-2,500)
