COLLECTOR'S LOT OF THIRD REICH IDENTIFIED AWARDS, MAPS, AND EPHEMERA.Two large troop movement and battle activity maps dated 2 July 1941 and 21 July, 1941 for movements and activities in Lithuania for actions against Finnish troops. Maps listing numerous Panzer Korps and troop engagement. Laminated on acid free board in between two pieces of plexiglass, screwed together to avoid damage or soiling of maps. Both measuring 50" high x 26" wide at the exterior of the maps. A small, eight pc collection of Third Reich medals and awards, identified to Major Hans Boehmer inclusive of Gold Wound Badge, Knight's Cross First Class, Knight's Cross, Close Combat Activity Badge, German Cross in Gold, and award for combat activities on the Eastern Front. Framed in a 20" high x 16" wide framed display case under glass. An outstanding award to Oberfeldwebel Alfred Tykiel of his Knight's Cross for activities on 6 August, 1941. This is printed on vellum in its proper presentation jacket and hand signed by the Fuehrer Adolf Hitler. Accompanied by a picture of Tykiel with a small subnote regarding his 21st birthday. Large aluminum Rail Road Nazi Eagle emblem marked on back "LOK 600 / GAL-Ma Si" with a casting mark of "LOKRZAB BERL". Eagle measuring 13-1/2" high x 24" wide. SIZE: CONDITION: Maps are good overall with very minor water staining and several fold marks evident from prior to framing; otherwise very good. Badges are very nice with no serious corrosion or damage. Award on vellum is museum quality and has been protected for many years with no damage or discoloring. Rail Road Eagle has pleasant patina with some very minor surface scratching. 52528-45 TDW (2,000-3,000)
