EARLY PARKER BROS. DH 10 GAUGE SHOTGUN WITH FISHTAIL TOP LEVER with WITH PGCA LETTER.PARKERDH7161510 GACal. 10 ga. 30" Damascus bbls, 2-3/4" chambers. Full length matted top rib with steel front bead. No. 3 frame. Dbl triggers, extractor, automatic safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock checkered in 3-pt pattern with checkered side panels, nickel oval near toe and 13" LOP over original skeleton buttplate. Splinter forearm checkered in standard D-grade pattern with Deeley release and steel tip. Receiver is nicely engraved in standard early D-pattern, pointer on left, setter on right, four birds on bottom surrounded by well cut Parker scroll. Accompanied by a PGCA letter describing this gun as a DH 10 ga with 30" Damascus bbls. Current LOP and weight vary from letter, though there is a record of this gun being returned to Parker for service in late 1892. All visible SN's match. Weight: 8lb. 6oz. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain 80% orig Damascus pattern with a minor ping in right tube by muzzle. Receiver has toned to gun metal gray with a hint or two of orig color in protected areas only. Buttstock and forearm are very good, retaining most of an older aged professionally restored finish (perhaps factory) with scattered hunting bumps and light scratches. Mechanics are very good.
