PERCUSSION SCHUETZEN RIFLE BY H. JUNG OF WERNIGERODE. H. JUNG SCHUETZEN NSN 8MM Cal. 8mm. (.340 Groove diameter). 31" Octagon bbl with makers name inlaid in silver on top is fitted with elevation adjustable rear sight. Breech iron is nicely engraved and silver inlaid "1878". Lock and other steel furniture are very nicely scroll engraved. A diopter sight is on top tang. Triggers are double set. European walnut stock with hooked butt has right hand bulbous cheekpiece and schnabeled horn tip. CONDITION: Good. Metal parts are mostly gray patina. Wood refinished. Bore is good.
