WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 SADDLE RING CARBINE WITH LYMAN SIGHTS.WINCHESTER1894 SRC43190432WSMODERN; C&R; ESACal. 32 W.S. 20" rnd bbl, full magazine, full blue finish with straight grained gumwood stocks with steel carbine buttplate. Ivory bead front sight, Lyman 3-leaf rear sight and Lyman tang sight. Bbl shows 2-line Winchester address rolled in front of rear sight. Left rear of bbl is marked "NICKEL STEEL BARREL / ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER" with Cal. designation to the rear. "WP" in an oval is stamped on the breech of the bbl and on the upper receiver ring. SN is stamped on the forward bottom of receiver. Tang sight was not removed. PROVENANCE: The collection of Tim Zissler. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl and magazine tube retain 98% of the blue finish with only slight muzzle wear and a few miniscule scratches. Bbl markings are sharp. Sights are very good. Middle leaf of rear sight is slightly bent. Bore is very bright with clear rifling and could possibly be un-fired. Receiver retains 95% bright blue finish with a small finger stain on the left side and slight saddle ring wear. There is also slight wear on the top right side of the receiver. Loading gate retains nearly all of the fire blue finish. Hammer and lever show a generous among of case hardened with some scratching on left side of hammer and some fading on the lever ring. Stocks are very fine, full sized and show only a couple of small handling marks. Lyman tang sight retains nearly all of the blue. Steel carbine buttplate also shows 95% blue finish with some slight wear at the heel and toe. Bbl bands show 90% blue with some wear on the outside. Mechanics are crisp and "as new". An opportunity to obtain a Model 1894 Winchester carbine with special sights in a condition that is seldom seen. 52471-7 TEP (2,000-3,500)
