EARLY CIVIL WAR MODEL 1851 HARTFORD COLT NAVY PERCUSSION REVOLVER. COLT 1851 NAVY 98086 36 Cal. 36. Many Hartford Colts in this serial range made early in 1861 were shipped South and this is an honest, orig complete example. Gun is in standard configuration with 7-1/2" bbl, 1-line Hartford address and Ormsby Navy battle scene rolled cylinder. CONDITION: Good to very good overall. Gun appears all orig and matching. All SNs match including wedge, stocks are well fit though not numbered retaining traces of orig varnish. Metal shows old cleaning and is overall a grey patina. Cylinder has partially discernible scene with numerous small dents and old areas of cleaning and pitting. Backstrap and trigger guard retain about half of their orig silver plate. Mechanically functional with crisp well defined bore. 52594-13 JS (2,000-3,000)
