SCARE EARLY CIVIL WAR "2-PIN" SMITH & WESSON OLD MODEL ARMY REVOLVER WITH IVORY GRIPS.SMITH & WESSONNO 2 ARMY233532ESACal. 32. These earliest of Smith & Wesson old model Army's were popular sidearms among Civil War soldiers and generally saw very hard use. This is a fine survivor retaining orig plate and well patinaed 2-pc ivory grips. Inside scratched into one grip is an indiscernible name and the date "October 16, 1913". Accompanied by Mr. Ballard's hand drawn display card. PROVENANCE: Lifetime collection of Roger Ballard. CONDITION: Very good overall. Gun retains about 40% plating with easily discerned bbl address, well patinaed ivory grips. Mechanics are fine with crisp rifled bore. 52703-11 JS (800-1,200)
