RARE REVOLUTIONARY WAR ERA 2ND MODEL BROWN BESS MUSKET, CIRCA 1780, UNIT MARKED.BRITISHBROWN BESS 2ND MDLNSN80Cal. 80. 57-1/4" overall, 42 bbl with military proofs at breech. Lock is marked "TOWER" with well discerned "GR" cypher under crown. Standard configuration with brass mounts. Buttplate engraved "15 / script initials of soldier / BWA". CONDITION: Good overall as reconverted. Brass cleaned. Iron is mottled dark brown/grey. Stock is restored around lock and from ramrod thimble forward.
