STEVENS & WILLIAMS VASE BY OSCAR P. ERARD. STEVENS & WILLIAMS Stevens & Williams enameled vase by glass artist Oscar Pierre Erard has elaborate design created with gold paste and enamel. The bulbous body of the vase is decorated with 3 swirling cartouches with a center stylized dragon in green enamel surrounded by a basket weave design done in raised gold paste all against a red glass background. The body of the vase is further decorated with brown flowers, stems & leaves with gilded detailing. The neck of the vase is decorated with a honeycomb design with a gilded flower inside each honeycomb. The neck is further decorated with 3 gilded cartouches each with a different bird motif. The vase is finished with a gilded bellflower and arch design encircling the lip. Unsigned. SIZE: 8-3/4" t. CONDITION: One cartouche on the neck has some wear to gilding, otherwise very good to excellent. 52766-9 DAB (5,000-7,000)
