HANDEL REVERSE PAINTED BOUDOIR LAMP.HANDEL6354Handel boudoir lamp has reverse painted shade with a band of red and yellow flowers with green leaves surrounding the side of the shade, all against a pastel yellow background. Shade is finished on the exterior in chipped ice and is also painted with some plants giving a bit of a 3 dimensional feel when lit. Shade rests on a Handel boudoir base, which is decorated with entwined leaves climbing up the stem to the single socket and harp shade support. Base is done in a pewter type finish. Shade is signed on the interior rim "Handel 6354" along with artist initial "A". Base is signed on the underside "Handel". SIZE: Shade 7-1/4" dia. Lamp 15" t. PROVENANCE: From an Unreserved North Carolina estate. CONDITION: Shade is very good to excellent with very minor oxidation to paint. Base is very good to excellent with some wear and discoloration to finish. Re-wired with contemporary plastic cord. 52746-14 DAB (1,500-2,500)
