UTTERLY STELLAR APPEARING COLT 1921 AC THOMPSON MACHINE GUN WITH RARE ORIGINAL VINTAGE "C" DRUM (CURIO & RELIC). COLT THOMPSON 1921 2768 45 ACP MODERN; NFA; C&R Cal. .45 ACP. 12-1/2" bbl. Truly superb condition Colt 1921 AC Thompson with unmarked Cutts compensator "AUT-ORD-CO" bullet logo forward of Lyman rear sight. Model 1921 internal parts. Anchor proof mark on wood buttstock below attachment hardware. Upper and lower assemblies match SN. Drum is marked "NEW YORK, N.Y., U.S.A" with 1920 patent dates. Original 100 rnd "C" drum with nickel router is SN 3801. One 30 rnd "SW CO" mag is also included. The Colt Thompson machine gun exhibits the highest quality of fit and high lustrous blue finish. It is unquestionably the most sought of all the Thompson makers and models. This is a National Firearms Act item and requires BATF approval prior to transfer. This weapon is fully transferable on an ATF form 3 or form 4 as Curio & Relic eligible. CONDITION: Overall finish and appearance is extremely fine, orig lustrous blue finish with some loss of finish to gray patina at the muzzle high edge of the compensator, a slight amount finish loss at the top front of the square slot charging handle channel, and along the high edge of the lower assembly. Wood of forend and pistol grip very attractive rich chocolate brown with a somewhat lighter colored buttstock which has some very light handling marks and some slight loss of blued finish to a pleasing gray patina on the buttplate. Drum mag exhibits very fine to extremely fine gray Parkerized re-finish of outer casing and key with some slight gray patina just starting at the top edges. Mechanics are crisp. Shiny bright bore with clean rifling, with a slight ring 2-1/2" from the muzzle which should in no way affect the serviceability or attractiveness of this beautiful piece of American machine gun history. 53178-1 JWK (32,000-42,000) W/DRUM & MAG
