Highly desirable fine condition Ithaca Auto Burglar gun with factory original Auto Burglar gun leather holster with embossed flap. Also included is the original Form 1 registration form where this weapon was registered by a Washington, DC Metropolitan Police Dept. Robbery Squad member. Typical markings with engraved pointer dog on both sides of the receiver. The Ithaca Auto Burglar gun was marketed as a gun for self-defense and defense in businesses. It was "a gun even the the novice shooter could be effective with in self-defense". SN match between frame, bbl and forend. Fastening stud not present on holster. This is a National Firearms Act item and requires BATF approval prior to transfer. This item is fully transferable on an ATF Form 3 or Form 4. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is very fine with about 50% case colors remaining, mostly in the covered and recessed areas with some high edge wear to a gray patina and some scattered mottling to gray patina particularly under the left side of bbl. There is a small 1" long sliver of wood missing from the right rear side of forend with some thinning of finish to a gray patina to the front strap of handgrip. Mechanics are crisp. Bore is shiny and bright. Leather holster still supple to touch with green verdigris where leather meets the brass eyelets of holster. Checkering is clear, there are a few small handling marks to the wood, barely noticeable. The Ithaca Auto Burglar gun is a popular collector's item. This one in its fine condition would make a welcome addition to any shooting enthusiasts or historical collectors collection. 53130-1 JWK (6,000-12,000) W/HOLSTER
